Fond Du Lac Auto Repair

A year or so ago I had my gas tank replaced along with fuel lines and fuel filter. Last Saturday while driving to Fond Du Lac I thought I ran out of gas. I had my wife bring me a can of gas, no help. I called a tow truck and had it towed to Rich's. The Tow truck operator noticed that the gas line was off. Monday Morning I called Rich's and told him the problem.

Hired them to replace my radiator, in the process they cut the ac condensor and clain ming they didnt. well someone did and they worked on it last.

Brought my car in for new tires. The technicians found severe safety issues with my front wheels and bearings. When I brought it back the next day, they worked hard to get my car back to me in 3 hours and the pricing was fair. I really appreciate the work the service advisor and mechanic did to make sure my car was safe to drive! I would recommend everyone to bring their cars to Rich's!!

My husband called Rich’s because of a referral he got from a friend. He called inquiring about our 01 GMC Sierra HD Diesel. There was excessive amount of smoke coming out of the exhaust that was blue and we wanted the fuel injectors checked. We informed them that a few other shops in our area (Neenah) had given us a range of $3000-$4000 for the fuel injectors. He also informed the shop that the truck was chipped with a tuner. We brought the truck down to Fond du Lac and left it there to be looked at. The shop called the next day to inform us that the fuel injectors could not be checked because the truck was chipped. Also if they did the fuel injectors it would be $6000-7000 but they could hook the injectors up to a machine to test them for $2500. My husband asked why they even had him bring the truck down with the information he had provided them over the phone when he scheduled the diagnostic and they just became argumentative. They also informed him they did an oil change on the truck and my husband asked why when he did not give that authorization and their answer was “because it was low”. They then were going to charge him $175 for the diagnostic even though they couldn’t diagnose the injectors like originally discussed, as well as, a charge of $99 for the oil change. After my husband fought with them about how absurd the experience and charges were they dropped the diagnostic fee and just charged for the oil change. We will not recommend or suggest anyone visit this shop for any kind of work. Even with the injector issue aside who the hell does an oil change on a vehicle without owner consent and then has the audacity to charge them for said oil change.
